Government Hunting Regulations



General

It is unlawful...

to hunt wildlife if not in possession of your hunting license and species tag
to hunt for 6 hours after being in an aircraft
to hunt game from one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise
for non residents to hunt without a guide (must be within
    verbal communication distance)
for a guide to take more than two non-resident hunters



Wildlife Branch Inspection and/or Permits
The following species must be taken into the wildlife branch for inspection and or permits before being exported out of the province:
  Stone Sheep Goat
  Grizzly Bear Wolf

A tooth from the following species must be submitted to the wildlife branch:
  Caribou  


    Stone Sheep Aug 1 - Oct 15 Must be full curl or over 8 years of age
    Moose Aug 15 - Aug 31 Any Bull
    Moose Sept 1 - Oct 31 Minimum of three points on one brow palm or ten points on one antler
    Elk Aug 15 - Sept 9 Rifle–Minimum of three points on one antler
    Elk Aug 15 - Oct 31 Archery only–minimum of three points on one antler
    Elk Sept 10 - Oct 31 Rifle–Minimum of six points on one antler
    Elk Aug 20 - Oct 31 Cow season
    Caribou Aug 20 – Aug 31 Any Bull
    Caribou Sept 1 - Sept 30 Minimum of five points on one antler
    Mule Deer Sept 10 - Oct 5 Minimum of four points on one antler, not including the brow
    White Tail Deer Sept 10 - Oct 5 Minimum of four points on one antler, including the brow
    Goat Sept Aug 25 - Oct 15 Mature Billies
    Wolf Aug 1 - May 31 No restrictions
    Coyotes Sept 1 - March 31 No restrictions, no bag limits
    Wolverine Oct 15 - Jan 15 No restrictions
    Grouse Sept 1 - Nov 10 Limit of 10 Grouse

Non-Resident Annual Harvest Restrictions on Big Nine Outfitters. Quotas
  10 Stone Sheep per year  
  1 Grizzly Bear in 5 years

Fishing
 
Arctic Grayling and Dolly Varden
July 1 - April 30
Daily limit of three
